California License Plate question...

Illinois is another 2 plate state. They will bust you here if the front one is missing. I was pulled over about 15 years ago by state police for no front plate on my then Impala SS and told I needed the plate... I still do not run a front plate on my Specialty cars. But, on my everyday cars I do run the front plate. BTW the windows on all of my cars are tinted.


P.S. A local cop that is a car nut and a friend does not run a front plate on his Specialty cars either. He tells me that he and his fellow officers can't see why the State Police are so demanding in requiring that front plate. It can not be seen at night or as it is coming at you at a high rate of speed. When a stop is made the officer is behind the stopped car and information from the plate is then produced.
