Question Rear License Plate Mounting Suggestions?

Okay now, our license plates arrived today for the 370Z (nineteen days for time of purchase). However, since we get jipped in the States by not receiving the nice Japanese mounting bracket (let alone the screwdriver and pliers that AK370Z confiscates as Zs enter the US) how are other people mounting the rear plate? I am looking for something nice versus just screwing the plate onto the paint. Please no tacky-arse gaudy frame suggestions (Did I just set myself up?). Thanks!

Photo of the Japanese model and their included plate bracket.

Photograph, again, pilfered from one of AK370Z's many photo albums.

I already fashioned all four slash guards out of Mighty Putty; I may as well make a bracket from it too!

is there anyways we can somehow get that JDM bracket...love the simplicity of it. Since '04 i've been using this Blitz frame....mainly because its simple and have never seen anyone else with one + its mad JDM yo!! lol.

OP: getting a frame is literally the only option we have

I'm sure places like japanparts.com could get it. But it won't fit without modification. Although Japan plates and US plates are similar in size, the holes are in slightly different locations.

I just got my new plate in yesterday and the damn thing is slightly bent/warped so that it doesn't lay flat. Kinda flimsy, the bottom right sticks out and away. When you push it in/flat the left side pops out. Looks terrible. Something like the JDM one in the OP would be awesome. I don't want a large bulky frame.

Get yourself a nice Billet aluminum frame. Not cheap, but really nice..Why put a $5 frame on a $35K+ car?
