I've been driving my '01 AE Maxima since new and I still like it allot but the new ones?? CVT and no manual means I wouldn't even look at owning one now. I'd be forced to go to another brand in that price range.

As for the commercial, it seems more appropriate for me to watch it in reverse...Maxima to Z

Why all the hate on the CVT? It almost seems like a kool-aid syndrome when people talk bad about it.

If I'm driving an automatic without paddle shifters, there is absolutely nothing wrong with the CVT. It's different, but not something that would deter me completely from purchasing a car.

I should have indicated that the video is work safe, and PG-13 in content!

erm....I would advise that as NSFW, personally. Arguably PG13, but I wouldn't open at work...

That was a great commercial. Good thing I don't plan on having kids any time soon.

My mom always points out how she had to sell her 280Z when she was pregnant with me and now makes jokes about how I might have to do the same if I settle down (screw that, the Z stays ).

Good point. So to redeem myself, here is the ken and barbie one that is safe for work (unless Ken is your boss) YouTube - Nissan Toys Barbie Ken Commercial

Still not as good as the video in the OP

Redeemed.
I am awfully partial to the Barbie-GI Joe commercial. I bought A 300 ZX tt one week before this commercial aired. My girl friend at the time decked herself out similar to Barbie and said "Lets go for a drive." Great memories.
Also as a kid I had GI Joe's. Screw Ken. Sort of a culmination of reasons.

I finally got to watch this video. My family has been giving me hell abotu buying a 2-seater with a baby on the way. I just sent them this video and added, "Since I'm not The Hulk I will just take the baby in my daily driver civic."
