Question Why dont you see many 370z's on the road on your commute?

So I was shocked to actually see a PW 370z the other day and brought me over to the forums to wonder, why? In the entire 2 years I have only ever seen 2 on the road in my town of around 120k ppl. However, the new Camaro is starting to become a dime a dozen on the streets, esp near the Navy base with all the new guys rollin in that cash from training/deployments! Dont get me wrong, I like their looks but its typical American trash plastic parts on the inside and im sure wont last or be worth a thing after 5 years. So do I just not live in a big enough city or an affluent enough city where people cant afford them? Soon, I will be buying one but had to put it on the back burner for a engagement ring for the gf which costs a few grand alone! Anyhow always wondered if anyone else had the same ideas on the topic.

You live south of the Mason Dixon line, thus the large numbers of Camaros.

Lol good point, however you must not have a Doctor for a woman, lol she wants to be bling blow like her partners or even bigger! haha I promised her Minimum of 1ct and I pay cash for stuff like that so hence no car while I pay for the ring! And it cant be a terrible quality just to get by either!

I see 370s all over on my way to work. I usually count on seeing at least 5 on the way in to the office in the morning. There have been days when I've seen more than 10.

My little city is only about 500K people and there are 7 370's that have been sold from the only nissan dealership (i call the sales guy about once a month for updates LoL) but 2 of the 7 are here at my house. That's one of the many reasons i didn't get the new camaro i knew it would be like the mustang everyone and there gmaw would have one. Not that i don't like them both i just love the Z more.

Same around here, but Mustangs, Challengers and Camaros are all over the place.

I might see two or three 350Z, but no 370Zs.

That's crazy.

In NOVA the 350Z is the most popular car behind the Porsche 911. I see more 350s than I see Mustangs, and I have been at stop lights where there were 4+ Mustangs.

One of the reasons I was attracted to the 370Z was that I didn't want to drive something that everyone else seems to have, like a Camaro, Mustang, or Challenger. I can drive anywhere here in the Saint Louis area and see those cars numerous times, while on the other hand I very rarely see another 370Z on the road. I was up in Iowa at Camp Dodge for 10 days last month and didn't see one single 370Z or 350Z on the road in that entire state the whole time.

I was also wanting to stay away from those cars due to them (in my eyes) being so popular with the backwards ball cap wearing type of guys.

To me, the 370Z seems a more classy car, more appropriate for someone my age (40's), and it is an absolute blast drive!

Ive only seen 4 in the last 5 months here in the Indianapolis area.

Still pretty rare out here. Heck, I haven't seen my own for almost a week.

I was surprised at how few I see on the road in Socal. I know they are out there, but I rarely ever see them in OC which I found strange considering the massive number of them for sale at local dealers.

The fact that this car has a much more mature and refined character has translated to the type of enthusiast that would buy this car; one thing I loved about my Saab is that I would never see one even remotely close to being as clean done up as mine which is something I took into consideration before deciding on a 370Z.

There are a billion freaking Mustangs, Camaros, Porsches, 335i, and 350Zs around though.

I dont know what city you are in Florida as well, but heres how bad it is. Two of the docs my gf works with,*both around 30 as well* go and buy brand new cars one week apart from eachother. Ones buy an SS Camaro, the other the SRT8 Challenger! Of course I had to go for a ride in the Challenger and I was shocked at the raw power but it was just freaking huge and not really me, thats not my type of sports car. But anything in the South is gonna be full of muscle cars vs real import cars less your in the big cities like Jville, Orlando, Tampa, Miami. The smaller FLorida towns is gonna have muscle car fever!

After driving an NSX for 10 years, I really don't like to see myself coming. And before that I had an MR-2 SC, which is pretty rare around here as well.

I'm glad the 370Z is still a fairly unusual sight - I think I've seen two roadsters since I started thinking about getting one in the last month, both black (maybe the same?) and a black/persimmon coupe, which I think is the one I bought later.
