no sir, over on audiworld I believe someone bolted on an additional 40whp with NA mods. I go there from time to time. It isnt too far fetched, look how much power our cars make with bolt ons/tune. I'd say our engine is almost maxed out from the factory, so to extract the power we do, its pretty damn impressive.

![]() I understand what you're saying, it just would take a LOT more power to go against a 370Z mod-for-mod.

it always seems to go back to the car cost more than ours when we get beat but when we beat a honda we dont mention that ours cost more. who cares about price that has nothing to do with it as the difference in price isnt all in the engine alone. it has more TQ so it gets going faster and it beat the Z. TQ is where the Z lacks and thats why I want the SC, to help with that area.

They're not all they're cracked up to be, but it'll be plenty reliable below 10 PSI. It's at 20+ PSI that they start to get iffy. I would know, unfortunately ![]()

![]() Our engine has an awesome powerband where it actually matters (5500 to 7500 rpm), and I'm sure theirs does as well. I'm not sure why people would be so caught up about low-end torque on a Z car. They've always been high-strung and gutless down low, with the exception of the 300ZX TT and maybe the 350Z.

![]() BTW, a centrifugal supercharger doesn't add much if any low-end torque. It'll probably start giving you extra power starting at 4000 rpm or so, with gains climbing from that point. I think that's accurate based upon the Stillen and GTM supercharger dyno sheets I've seen. Centrifugal superchargers are all about making more top end torque/horsepower. Imagine your torque curve being absolutely flat from 3500 or 4000 to redline - that's what this type of supercharger will get you.
