The "tailgating" really occurred because of bad timing - I was revving to exit out of the HOV lane and the cop happened to spot me right then. Few seconds

The "tailgating" really occurred because of bad timing - I was revving to exit out of the HOV lane and the cop happened to spot me right then. Few seconds before that, the car ahead of me was far enough.
