Now I know they send a bunch of these out in hopes to get people to come in. But 52k really this has got to be an F up. I bought my Z in Sept 09. It just reached 3500miles. I could see something more along the lines of a 10-20k tune. Maybe this is there way of over extending to the general people and try to get any sort of excess crap they can perform on someones car for money. If there dumb enough to go for it then why not have, get paid to do something that doesnt really need to be done.

I was reading the service and maintenance guide last night (since I am close 20K miles now) and I don't even have to change my air filter until 30K miles! Just change oil and filter and call it day.

20K to change the air filter huh? Hmm, dealership said I needed mine changed at 16K, but I didn't actually look for myself yet. Not sure if I should just put the regular stuff in there or go w/ a K&N drop in.

So the dealer wants $300 so they can change your oil and glance at the rest of your car while they do it.

I wouldn't be surprised if they actually tried to rotate your tires! Quite the challenge in a staggered setup...

If you look through the service manual, you'll quickly see why you can do all of those things yourself. If you find a cracked hose, loose fitting, etc, then you can take the car in and let them fix that one thing under warranty.

The service computer does indeed tell them to rotate the tires on the 370Z. Most service managers know better but sooner or later one of them is going to try. I guess at best they can switch them left and right given that the stock tires aren't directional but are symmetrical (and so can't be flipped on the rim).

I got one of those a month back. Except mine was for the 370Z's 20,000 kilometer annual service. These things are computer generated by the information you gave the dealership when you bought your car. What's really surprising is the fact that these letters are the results of that information, that you actually see. Just imagine the stuff you don't directly see...

Best part is I dont have 52k on my car. I only have 3.5k on it. There only 50k off of the real mileage.

When I had my 350Z they send me a letter that my tires need to be replaced. When I took the car for the free labor on the oil change, I just had replaced the tires a month before.

And the paper they give you of the inspection of the car said the tires were good. LOL
