thanks for the encouragement, G2Z.  yah, first thing i need to do is get better grip on exposure and control it. thing is out of control still...

Thanks G2Z! I shoot a Nikon D3. The lens I shot Sat was a 28-300mm Nikkor VR with the VR OFF and just a UV filter. I seldom us the VR feature as I find it softens some of my detail. I shoot RAW and use Lightroom for all of my editing.
