let me just add that raw quality comes out better than jpg even without doing any edits to it

Called to see if they could fit it in during the alignment but got denied :( Dyno booked :( :( The cash I got from my sport Rays sale is buring a hole in my pocket!

yah, im done for a while... im on my macbook pro right now. :p i luv this thing. installed the 8GB RAM; was an avid mac-user since the 80's until 2001. thats about when i took a long break from graphics and music production and used watever my wife gave me left over from her pc collection. it's great to be back on macs again! :D

sorry to hear about your appointment conflicts. :( hope you get the slots soon.

Most people I have talked to use Aperature or Shutter priority mode to shoot most of the time. Using full manual mode is good for when you need precise control over all settings and the more you use it, the more quickly you will be able to adjust shutter and aperature on the fly in manual.

yah, completely agree. i think im going to be using primarily apeture priority for my shots and manual for night time shots. thanks on the info about RAW. ive not used it yet but since i got my mac im going to start shooting in both RAW and jpg so that i can do comparison.

I drove my Z to work in the afternoon with the windows up...the drone made my head hurt for the next hour! I'm finally dropping the car off tomorrow to have the exhaust made.

Mt Tam I am 07-28-2011 12:23 AM

I forgot something at work and needed to go back and get it. One mile from my destination I saw an Aston Martin (sounding great) followed closely by a Porsche. I had the opportunity to make a 180 and did. I caught up to them a few turns later. The Porsche was a 4S. Eventually the Aston turned off and the Porsche stayed stuck behind a slow poke, and I spun back around to the office again.

Got our baby professionally detailed today, she looks great!

Def needed it after the track day at Zcon and driving up there and back.

Finally polished my fast intentions exhaust tips. Its been 10 months since I've polished them.

DIGItonium 07-28-2011 12:46 AM

Said goodbye... for now.

The time has finally come. With the 350Z, I dreamed about APS or GReddy TT, but it was far out of reach. With the 370Z, I didn't think I would need it, but life's short... gonna live out my dream. In the meantime, gotta quickly pay off everything haha! At least it's not a life long debt.

I want a 1M, but no one has an allocation. Debating if the m3 is worth it.

^^^This! Most of the time I am shooting S or A. I usually shoot full manual in ultra low light situations or shooting indoor sports like Volleyball (in poorly lighted locations).

My Z32TT drones a bit but usually only gives me a headache after an hour or so.

Awesome, best of luck with your build and we will be anxiously watching the updates!

Here is my update: Sorry, no pics today. My evening didn't go as planned and I didn't get anywhere near the laptop. Spent the entire day with the car. Tires mounted in the morning, went home and installed the rear camber arms, hit my buddies shop just before his lunch. Sooo, I took him and one of his guys out for lunch before we got start. Got to be in the pit and help with the alignment. Long story short, car feel perfect. Rear camber is at -2.3 and toe is .1 both sides. One thing that was almost immediately apparent... the VDC is much less obnoxious with a little bit of grip. :driving:

Going to be a busy day at work so I probably won't be on much. Hope everyone has a great Z Day! Oh, just found out that Bryan Settle (from ZDayZ) will be in the area for our next Cars and Coffee Williamsburg and is planning to come out if he can swing it.

No fear, Ken! My gf and I just came back from Houston over a week ago for vacation and visiting her parents, and now it's time for the Z to visit Houston... Baker Nissan!

:tiphat: Definitely happy to join the TT club soon... it will only be the 400whp club, though. HA! Like your Z32, I'm hoping to get back some of the old feeling with this car with the turbos. When I sat in Baker Nissan's Silvia, the gritty turbocharged engine felt so good.

Thank you! I'm putting together a before and after video. It will consist of dyno footage from Baker, engine start and rev, casual acceleration, 3rd gear pull 50-80 MPH, and 1-3rd to 80 MPH. It's not quite pushing it, but hopefully it's enough to capture the differences in feeling. I originally wanted to use two cameras to get exterior and tach footage for a video overlay, but didn't have the time or have the tools to do it.

Unfortunately, no VR38 lower manifold. I haven't heard anything from Mike or GTM about their progress. Knowing that it involves custom fuel rails, it's best to wait until this kit matures far out of the beta stage. Someday, though... I'll keep my plenum as a wall decoration or something.
