Yes. The short shifter is not helping matters, but a few plastic washers will do the trick.

Ah, OK. You have a short shifter. That makes more sense now.

Smaller than I expected too, was a tad worried. Once I installed it and had it in my palm it felt amazing.

the thing is i already have the nismo titanium knob which i am pretty happy with but just felt it was kinda narrow when shifting into 2nd gear.

i was hoping to get a rounder (like the TWM big TypeR knob) size but oh well. it's no big deal. :) i'll decide wat to do later.

onzedge 12-20-2011 12:04 PM

The PWJDM knob feels quite good. (let the knob jokes begin).

just finished driving from Atlanta Ga to Dayton OH,
Last part, before getting into traffic in Cincinnati,
Averaged 28.2 MPG and an average speed of 70.5 MPH from Corbin KY to Cincinnati, OH
For Corbin KY to Dayton, OH average 28.2 MPG / 64.5 MPH, not a bad trip
and saw no other Z's of any type

Those are good MPG numbers. I don't get anything close to that, even on highway. Will do some day trips next week and see how I do on those.

thats because your 'highway' is 101/110/405 aka mile long parking lots. :icon17:

I installed the battery tender today and lowered my insurance coverage to just comprehensive.

She is officially in hibernation. Come on spring!!!

kenchan 12-20-2011 05:49 PM

sounds good dembflyr. much better than getting your nice car crashed upon. :D

Those look sharp and tend to get good reviews.

Alchemy 12-20-2011 06:06 PM

Nothing wrong w 5Zigen. Prob more $$$ than Forgestar though.

Also I saw you speaking of concave. The Forgestars come in a regular and a DEEP concave. Starting at 9.5 inches wide they go deep. I did 9 wide on the front which is reg then 11 wide rear which is deep.

:iagree: I haven't put mine on yet for two reasons:
1) I don't have the o-rings. I know I can go out and get some, but I'm in no hurry.
2) It's def smaller than I thought it was going to be.

HAHA!! I was looking at this exact shift knob too! You know what they say about great minds!

You gotta keep your MPH down. If you can do 60MPH you'll get the best MPG!

Trust me, put it on and drive it. I thought the same thing and I cant explain how good it feels once you are actually using it.

Might be a tad hard to find those wheels, I would ask around just to be sure.

Big improvement though

RC 370z 12-20-2011 10:21 PM

drove the z to work like always...i hate leaving it out in the open parking lot every day:(

p.s. does anybody else get excited when they see another z driving by them? maybe it just me and because there isn't that many z's in my area.(maybe 2 or 3 including mine)

Not too bad actually. Trucks around here spill a lot of rocks though, and 65 at almost any given time will have some type of debris all over the place especially with the bypass being constructed. I have a nice rock chip on my right side skirt that I need to touch up. :(

I am glad they finally finished the scuffed section between Sunset and Lincoln, that section used to rattle my fillings. If you need more than a touch up I have a local mobile guy that does good work.

Nice video and for a good cause. Love the soundtrack, my all time favorite group.

There are some places have them, around $1500 for 19X9 and 19X10. Has to find out about the offset, but the link I posted couple posts above is from this forum, and it tells us the offset too, so I think it should be ok.

BTW, one side question, I saw some of you guys, MrAlchemy, MrOnzedge have those full-metal shift knob. How do you shift after you've parked your car outside for a while???

Do you need this???

DLSTR 12-21-2011 05:49 AM

Drove the Z here in Stuttgart yesterday in the snow(more than 2 inches) no problemo what so ever. Slush, powder/wet snow all good. Using good common sense for the conditions and letting the car work for you is the way to go, as others have posted. BLIZZAKS RULE! :)

I've got this one guys!

Two things:
1) Covercraft Sun Shade: Window Sun Shields
2) Microfiber cloth placed deftly upon shift knob.

'nuff said!

Did quick wash on my Z, then it was off to PT formation! Also, my first post, just bought my 370 last month

Fire 12-21-2011 08:43 AM

Guys please welcome me back in the flock. I had strayed but I'm back in Z land. I had made a deal with the local dealer to order a Camaro vert v8 6m with a dealer installed SC making 680hp. The deal fell through this morning at a meeting with the finance people, they said the banks would not go for the financing. N/P though as you know I have an awesome modded Z. Sorry for straying Kenman I will say nothing but good things about you for atleast a day LOL Welcome Jmazz good to see ya posting.
