Damn, forgot why I came into this thread. ..... Just finished a exterior detail, boy it needed it. Picked up Meguiars NXT carwash. First time using it and I gotta say I was pretty impressed. It lifted bugs abd grime fairly easy:tup: Finished up with Meguiars Ultimate Quik Wax. I have been using that quik wax for years, I really love it. Gotta appreciate being able to wax a car in a matter of minutes and the finished product is beautiful, again I really love that stuff. If I were to paste wax, time didnt allow me to do so, I use Meguiars NXT Tech Wax 2.0 which I like as well.

im not too familiar with this wax, is it applied with a microfiber cloth? currently i am using machine wax and it takes a while to do an entire car especially if i have to wash, claybar, polish it first

Yeah its in a spray bottle and you use a MF towel to apply. Its great for inbetween paste waxes. I can literally wax the car in about 5 min. The result is smooooth and shiny!!! I loathe paste waxing, might be a dif story if I had a buffer but alas I dont.

Ever try a wet dryer sheet on bugs? It works amazingly well.

Megs Ultimate Quick wax is a very good OTC product, one of my favorite spray waxes out there at the moment. For me, the three best things about it are that it produces great beading, has decent durability, and can be used in the sun.

This is just a phone picture, but this is Menzerna Power Lock topped with Megs UQW:

WOW! Very impressed. I'm going to have to try this stuff.

kenchan 10-06-2011 09:12 AM

yesterday not much Z action other than just admiring her :yum:... but i dusted/QD'ed the G in pre-prep to seal it tomorrow.

will do QD panel per panel followed by a quick sprits of PaintPrep and distilled water to remove all wax and seal using the One-Step Sealant. (too lazy to clay and polish separately. :D )

will need to start early as temps are kinda on the rise tomorrow....indian summer already? i hope it's not super sunny so that i can take some snaps after the work. polymers are notorious for looking like a frikken mirror on a sunny day and i hate it...but needed for durability.

I was a little happy when I had received this as it appears to be pretty solid... I'll take your word for it though, because Im pretty familiar with these types of keychains in general... It's like they make them to easily break. Oh well, if this one goes Im just going to go back to my old "Nissan" Burger keychain.

That's about as exciting as the Rain-X Lattitude wipers that showed up yesterday. Wow. I thought it was a birthday present. Well, I also have the friggin' helicopter a few doors down.

I assembled my new wing. Won't be till Oct. 17 before it's installed. Will have pics then. I know there's going to be more hate than love with this. But I'll still love you guys reguardless.

This a APR GTC 200 wing. So it's 59 1/2'' wide and 10'' high. So it will be more conservative than most. Not sure of the weight. Total shipping weight was 16lbs and that's a double layer box with two thicker sized booklets in it.

I'd hate it if it were your only mod and you thought it made your Honda a touring car. Since you actually track your Z, I'm guessing this is a functional wing, so
