Do I Really Need those 'Air Dam Flaps'

The flaps won't prevent you from scrapping your lip because the flaps are right infront of the wheels. You will scrap your lip before the flaps. I prefer not having

You will scrap your lip before the flaps. I prefer not having the flaps because if I scrap going over a speedbump I want to know if it's my lip so I know to avoid that speedbump again.
