I've never had people stop and stare at me in a Vette (daily in my 370Z).

I've never had someone whip out the camcorder/cellphone and VIDEO me driving down the road or parking lot (happened twice in my 370Z).

I've never had the ladies argue over who gets to go for a ride next (stopped counting).

Even my father, who has owned to many Vettes over the years loves driving my car. He has commented numerous times about the excellent build quality, the power, seating position, gauge layout, etc. I think he'll buy one next.

I finally brought my 2010 370Z a few days ago my second “Z” car from Nissan.

I could have brought any of the 08 Corvette models , what’s not to like about these great cars , have not ruled out ever owning one down the road, even test drove a few , just couldn’t bold with them not the right fit somhow.

Went with a 08, 350Z Touring loved the car, really got to know and appreciate the feel and quality of the "Z" on a trip from the Poconos PA, to Key West FL. Regretted having had to sell it for a larger and all wheel drive type, living in the Poconos PA, went for an Infinity G350 xS, great car, but always in the back of my mind was the “Z”.

I never loved the Infinity G350 xS , at the first opportunity gave it to my wife .
The esthetics of the “ Z” are pleasing to me , it handles and feels intimate and nimble, on theses tight and curvy Pocono mountain roads.

This is my second honeymoon with the ‘Z”, this time it’s a 2010 370Z, haven’t looked back sorry Corvette maybe next time!

Just my two cents,

Alex

Vette=raw power/better performance.
Z=reliability/a bit less performance.
I appreciate reliability over raw power, so I got me a Z...BTW!!!, the latest April Auto Issue of CR tells the following tale: '04. '06, '08 Zs are "Better Than Average"; the '05, '07 ones are "Average". The 370 is too new to be rated, yet, but it seems it'll fluctuate between "Better Than Average" and "Much Better Than Average"...SWEET!!!

Greetings from rainy Puerto Rico, dudes!

from a C6 Z06 to a Z?

I would NOT do it to be honest. Z06 is a different beast compared to the Z in almost every category.

Sure on paper, but have you driven a C6 Z06?

I just did. I likes it quite a bit. More comfortable all around, IMO.

Nope, I have driven the a regular C6 which is a step above the Z when it comes to acceleration. The Z06 competes with the most expensive supercars out there, you don't really need to drive it to admit it is a faster car than Z... Let's not turn this forum into a my350z.com board.

Thanks....

I test drove the C6 and I have to tell you it's a heck of a car. I don't think the 370Z is meant to be a Corvette. The thing is you can LOAD up a 370Z coupe for what 40k? Out the door at less than 40k? If you load a C6 you're talking 55-60k if it's a DEAL...a no option corvette can be had for 45-48k out the door if you find a great deal...it's all about spending LESS and getting MORE for your money with the 370Z. Plus, comfort wise I loved the 370Z when I FINALLY test drove it a few weeks ago. The Nav and electronics are superior in the 370Z the C6 is a 2005 model and it feels like it. The only thing Corvette has is that big V8, and thats a big deal. I think you have to think where you want your money, not which is better.

This is my daily dispel, I have to fear the corvette's power but agree with all the other advantages. I knew what I was getting into before I bought the 370
and I'm getting used to limited torque, but give me the 5.6L V8 out of the M56 and I would go after a 2006 and up Z51 equiped LS3s. Bob Mallet did it for the Pontiac Solstice, a factory warranted LS3 for 18,000, that would put the cost I paid for my 370 at 47,000, I wonder if an asian tuner could offer that same option with an Infiniti V8. I would pay for it, just think how exclusive the car would be, the sound, torque you may never sell it.
