and I'm getting used to limited torque, but give me the 5.6L V8 out of the M56 and I would go after a 2006 and up Z51 equiped LS3s. Bob Mallet did it for the Pontiac Solstice, a factory warranted LS3 for 18,000, that would put the cost I paid for my 370 at 47,000, I wonder if an asian tuner could offer that same option with an Infiniti V8. I would pay for it, just think how exclusive the car would be, the sound, torque you may never sell it.
Check out hinson supercars

they put corvette motors in everything from rx7's to s2000's. They could probably stuff one in the Z.

One of the two supercharge solutions for the Z would probably serve you just as well and certainly save you big big coin.

Test drive back to back. I can also understand wanting to try something different.

Hey guys sorry to bump an old thread, but im currently thinking about trading in my 09 vette for a 370z. the vette is to fast for the streets i cant really enjoy it, i miss being able to floor my car )08 civic si) and revving it out, i cant do that in the vette or ill be doing well over the speed limit by the end of 2nd gear instantly. I guess i want a better drivers car.

You live in Az take it out to a long road and have fun. I dont think I would trade a newer vette for a Z unless the vettes are having alot of problems. Are you having any transmissions problems with the vette?

no transmission problems or any problems at all. im still debating it but i might just stick with the vette for a little longer to see what else comes out.

Steve,
The Vette might be faster, but the Z is much more fun to drive. I had both for a while, and I do regret selling the Vette a little, and I might buy a Grand Sport still, but I definitely like the Z better.

And, Chris does have a point. I actually enjoyed my vette less when it was supercharged than when it wasn't and you really can't wring out an NA vette on public roads.

I want to feel that 400 hp and 400 tq, the Z is fun but it lacks the TQ to me, now I was looking at the GS too but they werent giving me anything for a trade in for my Z so the deal couldnt be done, but I will wait for the 2014 vette and try to SC the Z in the mean time. I have plenty of roads here in TX to let the vette loose.

If I get the GS, it will be an addition, not a replacement. It would give me the justification to gut the z

The Z feel dirt slow compare to the Vette. You can make up for some of it with a smaller tire to get you shorter gears.

If you had a ZR1, you wouldn't need a wife.
