All this talk about learning on another car, having someone teach you, it's overrated.
Here's the story of the first car I bought with a stick: I bought it. I learned to drive in about 10 minutes, because if I didn't I wasn't getting home. I never grinded the gears. Stalled somewhere around 10 times. Been driving the hell out of anything with wheels since.
