Modding preparation questions...

Hey guys I'm trying to figure out a plan to mod my wife... Err I mean car.

I have an '09 touring nav package with 7AT transmission.
1) Can a sport package be added aftermarket and is it reasonably priced?
2) I'm going to get a supercharger or turbo later on (2-3 years) Is it worth it to do an intake kit now? My dealer is offering me 30% off on it.
3) Does anyone know if the Amuse Vestito kit is available in Canada? All the info I can find on it is from U.S. dealers
4) Im definitely forgetting something here.. I'll add it when I remember.

If you gurus can help me out here, that would be great. I want to make a beastie out of her down the road.. But I'm obviously not doing my research right because I can't find the answers to my questions. Thanks in advance.

Sport package should be possible I think but it wont be cheap. since you also will have to pay for the dealership putting it all on. since I think the sport package with the 7AT is only the spoiler, rims and other body work.

Thank god you don't have the manual because I think it would of been pretty impossible to get the revmatch afterwards

What intake is your dealer offering?

You can buy it from the US dealers and have them ship it to canada.

Not sure about the brand/model.. I just had a quick one-minute talk with the manager about it since he uses it on his g37. He said he'd do it at 30% off. I'm wondering if the fuel savings are worth it.

And doesn't the sport pack include a "viscous limited slip differential?" and WTF is it lol.

If it's just a rim/brake job, I can probably find something way better than stock parts.

You can upgrade to sports package parts but it will likely cost you more than the factory add-on cost. Wheel replacement (oem Ray's 19") cost about $1000-$1200 a piece alone if you were to buy from the dealer. Buying that through a member will be cheaper. Or just go aftermarket.

Here's what you need for the sport pkg: Akebono brakes, chin spoiler ($170 usd), rear spoiler, different suspension (go aftermarket springs/struts or coilover). Here's what you can't get: synchro rev match.

As far as CAI, you could as it'll improve the breathing. You could try to sell it later when you don't need it anymore. You could also upgrade other parts of the exhaust sytem instead to prep for forced induction (cbe, hfc, headers) but do your research to make sure these parts will be compatible with a sc or tt.

I'd go with a CAI and A CBE. That way you increase performance and let the car breath better. Better MPG. Plus you get to have some fun with the gains while you wait to push up to TT or SC.

You could go with headers and HFC's for more gains while you wait, but you will have to sell these down the road as they will not be compatible with a TT kit, but could be used with a SC kit if you go that route.

All these parts have been seen here used in the marketplace. Keep an eye out and you will find all you need for far less than retail.

Intake would not be worth it right now. Just drop in some K&Ns and call it a day.

And I saw some really sweet rims around $400 a piece.. Rays are nice, but way overpriced.

I wonder if the intake kit will pay for itself via fuel savings overs 3 years. That's definitely going to be a DIY for me. As far as spoiler stuff, the Amuse Vestito kit will take care of all that anyways.

I'll definitely be looking into an exhaust that will match the FI

I didn't even know the air intakes makes you use less fuel. IF you are going to get a CAI get the stillen long tube intakes. I have those and they are awesome.

You can always try contacting amuse themselves and see if you can order from there.

If you want a exhaust. Go get the fast intentions CBE and LTH(if you are going supercharged) Best ones on the market

So my goal is to compile a list of parts first, then get pricing on them. My goal is 600 HP ;D considering a TT gives 550, it shouldn't be very hard. But my concern is handling with that much power, hence why wide tires brakes and suspension are a must.

If your looking at 600whp your probably gonna need a tranny cooler. I don't think the 7at tranny can hold that much power.
