Nurse Shark and a Cow............

Motortrend had some less than flattering things to say about our beloved Roadster. I suppose it's nice to be included in that particular conversation, but really.....

Quote:
That the Z4 manages to push the other Z to fourth place with seductive styling and thrilling engine performance is no real surprise. Those two key components are completely absent in the Nissan. The Z Roadster's VQ engine, now upsized to 3.7 liters, produces the most power in this test, but sounds coarse and feels rough while doing so. And it just doesn't look the way a roadster should. Lop the roof off a burly, broad-shouldered Z and the result is a bulbous lump fitted with a face only a mako could love.
lol...I have to admit, I'm not a fan of the roadster either..and the engine has always been a sticking point with the media.

Still, who the hell cares? It's a magazine's opinion. Enjoy your car through your eyes, not someone elses.

I like this guy's comment:
Quote:
This is how sports cars should be rated. Who cares about money!? We want the Passion and pleasure of driving a quality sport's car. Not the cheapest and (more times than not) chintziest car money can afford.
lol what?

i also agree. The roadsters just are kinda ugly looking, but no where near as fugly as the 350 roadster.

The only opinion that counts is the one person buying it! Magazines borrow a couple cars, put em through their paces and give their results. To me it's just blah..blah...blah.
I already know the good and bad of nissan/infinti products and prefer them over audi, bmw, ford and the rest. There's alot of "sheep" that let car magazines tell them what they should like and why.

I ain't "sheep".

I thought Z4's were for wife swapping parties? not for motoring.

All true but at least they could be a lil more accurate in the description....... hows about a Great White with a lil junk in the trunk. Cross between a Nurse shark and cow is just wrong!!

Motortrend is terrible.

That's all, really.

Consider what every other publication had to say about the roadster. Hell, consider what Jalopnik had to say about it -- and I trust their opinion more than Motortrend.

Also, if price is no object why aren't they testing cars 20k above the Porsche or TTS?

Am I the only one baffled here?

THIS does not look like a cow...side profile is the best of all the cars, don't you agree?

It all depends on the angle. The 370Z is a polarizing design... you either love it or you hate it, especially in roadster trim. The TT and Boxster are generally more aesthetically pleasing to the majority of people. The Z4 is a little quirky.

The engine isn't buttery unfortunately... they have a fair point on that one, my dad's old mazima 3L vq was like butter... where did nissan go wrong...

on the other hand i reckon the roadster looks stunning...
