Water-spots won't come off?

Well, he said that he prob could have gotten them off the hood, but he didn't want to work the hood any harder because the paint was thinner than other areas of the car. I think he said the it was 65-70 micrometers. The scratches are strange though, they are very shadowy now, like is said they almost appear to be gone, but can be seen from different angles.

I would accept his judgement on the paint thickness, and let him detail when necessary!
