Rust-through can obviously start out as surface rust. Odds that its a problem are low, but keep in mind that Toyota is recalling trucks with rusted through frames, so it can happen. This is something to watch over time.
I can see the rust on the exhaust from behind as I approach my garage driving the daily commuter. My driveway slopes away from the garage a bit, so I get a good low look at the Z's backside every day. |
