I am 5'7" and this car fits me like a glove. Perfect seat width, perfect side bolstering, and great over the hood view. Getting in and out would be zero problem for me, but I prefer to not rub on the side bolsters getting in/out so it is more of a graceful side tilt and fall in... Well I like to think of it as graceful

Sports cars and bad knees may be mutually exclusive. After you get your knee replacements, it will get better.

AS to mirrors, yes....use good driving habits.

Love the car, but here are my complaints:

Backing out of parking spaces, can't see ****.
Clutch noise in neutral.
Removing all the bolts to change the oil.

You don't need to remove all the bolts -- just remove the ones that hold the undertray's "flap" I think it is 3 or 4 of hem.

Using a bungee cord to hold the flap is also helpful.
