Injected Performance 370Z dyno video, 258whp DD

why was this test done in 4th gear instead of 5th? the Z34 should be able to go to 7300rpms at 155mph, 200rpms short of redline.

On most 6-speed cars, the difference in numbers between 4th and 5th is negligible, if any. We did test in 5th as compared to 4th on one pull and it was exactly identical. Other cars, not just Nissans, have shown the same thing for us. Using 4th as opposed to 5th goes a little quicker and puts a bit less stress on the engine.

For what it's worth, we were able to achieve similar results yesterday, proving the DD's consistency. We decided to test XXX Racing Fuel's 138 octane oxygenated blend. It was good for a 14whp gain through much of the powerband. Not bad for just adding some gas!
