The import taxes in Puerto Rico makes the touring sport just short of $50K.

I paid $50,500 for my Nismo.... taxes suck in this little island.....at least I get to drive it all year long and dont have to worry for snow.

The price for a 370z in Denmark is around DKK 800.000,- which equals to about USD 145.000,-

I'm guessing that purchasing from the main land and shipping it yourself would still incure a large tax?

Shipping it ourselves usually means it has to be paid already in full. And the taxes are even worse for privately imported vehicles. That and the shipping cost itself its not worth it for new cars...

I paid 37,500 for my base *with factory rear lip spoiler installed. No base+sport are sold on the island .

Did you see the youtube that posted AK? The 370Z was designed in the US. In addition many Japaness cars are manufactured right here in the United States.

Plus the US and Japan has had a long business partnership in the automobile field.

The US has the largest demand for cars, fuel and almost everything else in the world, so it’s the volume that helps to drive the price down.
Taxes are definitely a part of it but I think it's more to do with the total volume of the order. It’s just like getting a discount for buying in bulk...
In Australia we get shafted for everything.

the 370 is not even for sale here yet...once it is i can imagine it'll be close to $90,000.
And let's not forget that Bosnia is one of the poorest countries in Europe, with a monthly average income of $250-300!
