Do you drive with Vehicle Dynamic Control(VDC) off or on?

Any one else turn off the TC right when they get in? My thoughts: I want to know where my car's breaking points are in regards to traction as well

Default Traction control

Any one else turn off the TC right when they get in?

My thoughts:
I want to know where my car's breaking points are in regards to traction as well as engine performance.
I push the rear as much as possible to get a feel of where the traction lets go in corners as well as light to light.
I LOVE TO DRIVE!!!

Just wondering how many others love to push their cars for what there made for.

Logically, the more you get used to the car the more you want more performance.

The VDC is non adjustable so you are stuck with using it either ON or OFF.

With it ON (default) it won't let you do the things real driving enthusiasts want to do.
If you feel the need to accelerate on occasion to pass or race - it cuts out the injectors and you bog down ... with a slow recovery to normal acceleration ... bummer as you see that Mini Cooper pass you by.

With it OFF the car gets 'happy' in the rear and you go sideways...especially if you are not going exactly straight to begin with.
Not fun looking at oncoming traffic bearing down on you.

There are a lot of things you can do to improve your car's handling and performance...Tires, Brakes, Suspension

But, as for the the (factory) VDC ... ??? ... disappointing, and I'm being kind.

The Race Logic Traction Control (from GTM) is a good option - it offers user adjustability and keeps the wheels from spinning and the car going straight.
It reacts quickly and recovers almost immediately.

You can get it with the PNP harness' for the Z which greatly simplifies the installation.

It might be possible that UpRev and ECUtek also have a traction solution available with their tunes...
but not 100% sure on this.

Hope this helps,

Bob
