Ya know, I bought the 8500. Had it for a couple days, was kind of lamenting how much I had paid for it. Then, I was supposed to pick up my girl from work, but I was early, so I was just driving around. Got to a spot where the road was as open as far as I could see, and no one in site. Whaled on it, very quickly the detector started going off. I didn't anything anywhere, but slowed nonetheless. A ways up, there was a bike cop wedged between two buildings. I mean, must have had about 6 feet. Paid for itself right there.

It just has to be a good one. You get what you pay for, and if you have something that cost you $50 ... :wtf2:

Yes, it is...but thats why it's crazy that an off duty cop would do that! It's all good...I'm befriended by most of the cops in my area.

Without busting balls, what's the benefit of a sports car if it never speeds?

Vegitto-kun 03-06-2010 08:41 PM

acceleration I guess?

Looks?

track days?

I mean one big fine if you are under 25 and instant license lose

Hmm, can't accelerate very much without ending up speeding :bowrofl:

Instant loss of license? Hefty punishment.

yes young people are hated here

insurance = 3 X normal rate

ticket that is over about 15-20 mph too fast = instant license removal

untill you are 25 then suddenly you can do whatever you want and unless you go say 40- mph too fast they will not really take your license

My license would have been taken a couple times if that were the case here :icon17:

Vegitto-kun 03-06-2010 09:01 PM

yes thus I don't speed

It apparently is extremely rare to not get into accidents and/or get fined in the first year of driving

I sure won that bet
