I took my first real drive in my new Z on Sunday. Not in the same league as the OP's trip as I was only gone a few hours, but it was the first time since I had the car the weather was nice enough for a good long top down cruise. I spent some time on some twisty country roads near Dripping Springs Tx. Did something pretty dumb too -- crossed a water covered road. It wasn't more than a few inches deep I think, but the water was moving swiftly. Nothing happened, but I thought later about what a stupid thing it was to do.

Glad you are enjoying your new Z too Yesterday, on our way home, I unfortunately had to drive in the rain for the last hour of our trip. I just didn't quite make it home in time before this storm hit, here in So-Cal My original intention was that my Z would never see rain on her. I was a bit bummed when those first rain drops hit. She drove just fine in the weather tho. I distinctly remember getting sideways once in my 300ZX turning onto on onramp once. I can't be having that happen (at least when my husband is in the car with me) hehe..
