no way you'd get close to touching a C7 Grand Sport or Z06 around $40K. Maybe after the C8 comes out but sounds like OP needs a car NOW .

Maybe after the C8 comes out but sounds like OP needs a car NOW . I have to vote for a camero with LS or possibly an M4 (although a stretch at $40K as well)
