I thought the reviews were pretty fair. As far as the lack of storage space, I have found that the hatchback and additional storage can accomodate enough baggage for a week long trip for two. I consider myself a moderate to heavy traveler considering that I had camera gear (SLR plus 3 lenses), my PS3, and a laptop, as well as Christmas presents in the Z.
