300ZX Motorweek Reviews

Since I know there are a lot of current/former 300ZX owners here I thought you'd find these interesting.

I owned a 944, 300ZX, and twin turbo RX-7 in that order. As much as I love the Z, the RX-7 was a beast. It is funny looking at these cars now in the 1993 Motor Trend comparison, the 1993 RX-7 body styling, to me, still looks somewhat contemporary and fresh, whereas the others look dated.

The 300zx doesn't even look dated at all to this day looks better than any Z car that has come out since it was out.

I had a 91 MR2 and I loved that car. I kept it for 7 years and put 165,000 miles on it. The only real maintanence was a new clutch and timing chain after about 130,000 miles. I've also never had a car that turned heads like that one, even after 7 years. It just looked like a Ferrari. It was a chick magnet too.

That RX7 was one of the best sports cars ever built, IMHO. Unfortunately, no one wanted to pay that much for "just" a Mazda.

I was also a big fan of the FD RX-7. If Mazda had come up with a real successor to it that is probably what I would be driving right now instead of the Z.

The 300ZX, Supra and RX-7 were all impressive. I had forgotten how much they cost, though!
