The seats are my major concern with buying a 370Z as being in my Sister's 350Z for more than an hour becomes very uncomfortable. What did you replace yours with?
Thanks,

The original seat wire structure pressed directly on my sciatica, causing major, painful discomfort. Within a week, I replaced the drivers seat with a SPARCO from Summit Racing. I had to fabricate my own mounting rails.

I DO NOT recommend SPARCO, as they are very shoddily made...... I suggest you go for a higher-end seat such as BRIDE, as they seem better quality and DO have available specific brackets.

Interesting to hear so many people complaining about the stock seat. I used to drive 3+ hours every couple of weeks for several years and thought the Z was particularly comfortable on those long drives. On multiple occasions I did two 8 hour drives in a single day and had no complaints - just needed a few stops to get out and stretch the legs and such.

The driver seat is pretty beat now with 93K miles (I'm 6'1" 230lbs), but I don't daily drive it any more. The seats in my Fit are horribly uncomfortable compared to the Z's.

I have to agree. Maybe the seat in my '12 Touring/Sport is a bit of an upgrade over a base, but I find it quite comfortable. I'm 67 and 5'10", 175lbs, and it fits like a comfortable glove. I'm sure there are even better after market ones out there, but I'm fine with these stock ones.....

I think my Z seats are more comfortable than my Avalon's. No matter how I try I can't that Toyota seat to be comfortable. I hate leather seats and that is what the Avalon has so that may be the issue, but I never have had any issue with the Z cloth seats.

Having owned one 350Z and two 370Z’s these vehicles are very reliable/dependable to own comparing to other vehicles. The CSC issue with the 370Z manual cars is a given though. I have not had one single problem with my 370Z’s since I owned them but, then again I have always done all my required general maintenance on my vehicles on time. These Nissan 370Z’s can easily last 200K-300K+ miles before they need any major work done to the engine I have seen it for myself. These cars were engineered to last.

My seat experience is with my sister's 350z convertible and my problem is that I am at 275. Just too wide for the seat. I am guessing the seats in the 370s are no different than her convertible Z which is putting a hitch in my shopping plans. I test drove an early Q60 the other day and it had lovely seats, I wonder if they would fit? Be a lot cheaper the a pair of nice Recaro's.

makecopies, so did you pick the 13 up?

I had a 13, from new for 5 years. Loved it and had no big issues with it, only 1 code popped up in that time and I only had to clean the maf, was very easy to do.

If you get a stick, get RJM clutch pedal, easier to drive and can help with the csc issue. No csc issue for me and installed the pedal about 2 months after receiveing the z.

Bought my '13 Touring Sport with 22K. Just crossed 52K today and expect to be 55K or more before putting to bed for winter.

I replaced pads at 30K just because I wanted to know how they were driven. All I have done are the fluid changes, oil, brake, rear dif. Will do transmission at 60K just for peace of mind.

My '04 350Z went from 36K to 80K in just over 2 seasons. Never saw the shop either. All maintenance was self performed and enjoyable.

I previously went from an ‘07 350Z 6MT to an ‘09 370Z 7A and now a ‘13 370Z 6MT. Both are amazing cars and luckily, I’ve never encountered the issues some people may experience. I remember even with the ‘07, people were mentioning about the CSC going out, but mine had 81k when I traded her and with the original CSC. Both vehicles will have the clutch chatter if you go with the manual. The stock exhaust on the 350Z sounds better than the 370Z IMO. I do miss the rear windshield wiper and the digital speedo in the middle dash of the 350Z, but I don’t miss how the interior, particularly the door arm rest area, would scratch so easily.
