AUDI TT RS vs Nissan 370Z

I don't have any issues with the TT, other than I think the Z is a way better deal for the money.

Exactly! No arguments here! Cars nowadays are getting so much better that pricing on cars like the TT RS is almost unjustifiable. Creature comforts and luxurious features are to be found on the TT RS... but is that all to price it, as it is?

Totally agreed. I also looked briefly at the Cayman as well as the TT, and found what you said to be very true - Cars like the Z are just a much better value for the dollar. When you factor in Audi reliability, the TT and the TT RS were just not competitive. I also couldn't get comfortable in the TT.

Interestingly, the only car that I felt was even close to the Z in terms of smiles per dollar was the Mazda MX-5. They can get pricey when you option them out, but even at $28k, it's a hell of a driver's car, despite what others may think.

I owned a new TT and it is a space frame car that is way above the 370Z!! I love my Z but the way the TT handled and the interior quality blew away the Z. I just didn't want to pay for the TT anymore so that's where the Z shines!! Bang for the buck!
The Electro mechanical steering, Haldex Quattro, Magnetic Ride suspension, Adaptive bi-xenons, weight distibution, looks, fit and finish were on par with the R8! The car needed more hp and cost to high! But there are reasons for that!
I miss her, don't miss the cost or the lack of mods stateside!

Hi Guys, this is my first post and I haven't introduced myself (sorry), but just to tell you that in France, the number of 370Z Nissan has sold in 2009 is... 200 !!!
And you are lucky guys because the price is around 44000 € (58000 $) there. But it's not the worst price in Europe: in Portugal the 370Z is around 70000€ !!!! (98000 $), no no it's not a joke.

Enjoy it, it's really an amazing car (and we don't have Yellow, it's a special edition 50000€ ...)

This was from a guy in France, man they really pay for thier cars. They must have a seriously high income everage there or something.

The TT RS costs 44k Euro in Germany so that about $62K here but I also see that their TT is $5k more there than it is here, so if the TT RS does come to the US it might be only $58K, not bad.

On another note I see that they have a R8 Spyder convert and it looks sharp as hell.

R8 Spyder < R8 < Models < Audi UK
actually thats 44000 british pounds. still that would make it 74000 dollars here. that's essentially cayman s price.

r8 spyder i think is new for 2010

Was that brake fade on the TTRS they were showing at 7:50?

The Audi with quattro will routinely have better launches and 0-60 times. Our Z requires a skilled driver to pull off 0-60 in 4.7s every time.

I have been able to get 0 60 in 5 secs so far using a Gtech.

Puerto Rico: Base model starts at $50,000. Killer prices in some countries, huh?! On the TT vs. Z discussion: My main concern is reliability; just check out both their records with CR magazine. Zs are "Much Better Than Average". I'll let you do your homework on the TT! Cheers!

I dont know were you get that info but the base 370Z here (Puerto Rico)cost $36-38K. For $50K u get the Nismo edition, still more expensive that in the US but not as bad as u make it appear.
