The saga continues! Today I find out that after the short block engine rebuild, the computer is setting off codes for 2 bad sprockets... 1 of which was replaced merely a few weeks ago due to the original oil consumption issue. It seems the sprockets did not get oil quickly enough when the engine was run. Now the engine needs to be torn down yet again... sigh.
Is it possible to get Nissan to give me an extended warranty beyond the 60k powertrain due to the amount of engine work that is being done? (especially given the car has less than 50k on it?) |
