Pretty impressed. Throttle response is noticeably better, engine feels like it’s running more smoothly, and I low key feel the slight HP gain. Not bad for the price. I think there is a slight sound difference as well, but it’s hard to notice over the short tails.
I remember on a dyno day, we had 2 Zs with the same cat back only and nothing else) same model year. The one with drop ins made 10 more wheel horsepower than the one with stock filters. Not the best test but it's something.

Changed the spark plugs yesterday to confirm if mine was running lean. Just ordered a tune through SpecialtyZ to correct it until I pull the trigger on a supercharger

adjusted seating position...I used to like sitting more upright...now I adjusted the thigh support all the way up, moved seat forward one click, and tilt the back support a click or two back, got better butt feel for the car and the seat holds me much better during corner.

I had to do that too a little over a year back. My foot was coming off the go pedal. 2 clicks forward solved that.

I've installed the gauge and routed the wiring. I took it for a test drive and importantly, nothing leaked from what i could see. The cold startup pressure was 80psi (34 row oil cooler installed, i know there's some debate on how that affects overall pressure) but i got it up to about 160-170F and it went to 21-22 psi at idle. Waiting on the Z1 undertray that should come in today before i button everything back up and then go for a drive

Edit: It's 95F here today. So that may play a factor into the "cold" start.

Mine is 100 psi cold start and 35 psi hot idle at 90F air temp.

Yeah I saw that. You're also running a heavier oil as well right? either way, If it's in spec, I'll take it for 128K miles. good enough for weekend drives which is all i do these days.

I'm using Mobil 1 0w-40 Euro blend.

Still waiting on my undertray. I'll blame that on FedEx, but i took another careful drive around the neighborhood to get some data.

Start pressure: 80psi
Idle Pressure at 180F: 22psi
Idle Pressure at 195F: High 18PSI to low 19PSI, it kept jumping back and forth
Pressure at 195F 2000RPM no load: 45PSI

Still no obvious leaks, the max RPM i took it to was a little past 4000 RPM as I still dont have the undertray so im being careful driving anyway. I'm honestly quite glad my car is running alright given 128K miles and 25+ track days (quite a few from hellish summers in TX).

I guess for the purposes of archiving more data here, I've basically serviced this vehicle myself most of the time. I got the car lightly used at 8200 miles and daily drove it until about 110K miles. I've used Redline 5w30 for over 90% of the time except the first change i did, I used mobil 1, and i tried Motul eco energy a 2-3 times. I did use Motul 300V for a back-to-back track day once but removed it the week after. I've had an oil cooler on the car ever since about 27K miles. 25 row stillen gold series until I bought a new 34 row setrab core in 2018.

Rolled over the 203,000 mile mark this last weekend, still going! Also got around to having the transmission fluid changed and swapped out the old and starting to rot factory transmission mount for a brand new shiny z1 polyurethane transmission mount....what a difference that made when paired with my already existing poly mount on the differential, really makes it feel like the driveline is more solid and shifting feels more direct and smoother now

While my oil pressures are stable, I'm now having issues with the damn code again, this time i think i feel some resistance when driving (not sure, i've been driving the WRX alot lately). I'm going to revert the catch cans back to the stock PCV routing this weekend.

I have some ECUtek cruising logs if anyone is interested. I doubt the P2A03 and sister codes are coming because of the exhaust now. When i went to replace the gaskets i used last time with the copper ones, there was no leaking on either side of the gasket. I did read in some places that the code will not go away unless you do some reset procedure if you did have a leak before (which i've confirmed way back last year)

Reverted the PCV system to stock routing today. The engine seems fine but now I’m thinking it’s a driveline issue. I’m getting really bad vibrations after i tried to push it just a little. On top of that there’s some sort of ticking noise coming from under the car when it’s in motion, I thought it was exhaust rattle, but It doesn’t seem like it if it continues down the street.

It’s just going to end up sitting for a while until I figure out if it’s worth fixing.
