Booooo

My gas tank and w-brace both have a nice dent in them from a large chunk of concrete that fell off a construction truck. Not quite the damage yours sustained. Hope you get it fixed up good

Got the bearing work done but still making noise. Turns out the alternator is toast (as suspected) since the PS fluid was leaking onto it. New Denso alternator and we're going to change out an o-ring at the electrical connector and keep an eye on the weep.

Another possibility is the switch in the system but we'll see if the o-ring sorts it out first. There was also some play in the PS pump, but the backup one I have has exactly the same amount of play. Can rebuild my original PS pump if we can't sort out the leak.

I have the CZP PS cooler. Rack was replaced under warranty a few years back at 80K miles.

New rotors and pads installed on my mom's car. Work wasn't too bad, especially since she does not abuse it. I ended up correcting a ton of stuff on there last week:

New Hatch Struts
New hood prop holder (plastic clip on the cooling shroud)
The previous place she took it to used 5w20. Replaced it with ENEOS 5W30 and a nissan filter
The drain bolt was wayyy tooo tight. They also used the incorrect washer
Donated my much better windshield screen and retractable cargo cover
replaced the license plate lights
Wash, clay, and 1-stage cut and polish. I wasn't going to spend too much time on it as the paint isnt in the best shape.
Restored headlights

Right now it's at WRR getting the diff bushing replaced (Z1 urethane), New Michelin AS4s, a brake bleed (because i dont know the state of my bleeder kit), and an alignment.

Edit: also did an Italian Tune-up, and it has plenty of power. The next service will be 100K, so we'll do spark plugs then, as well as some other stuff.

got my summer tires put on,
wanted summer wheels+tires but can't find anything in stock that i want so the tires got swapped again.
spacers reinstalled,
"premium" braided brake lines installed.

unfortunately the mechanic decided to shove my winter tires into the front seat on an angle, no idea why... they fit perfectly in the seat without touching the door at all.
sitting overnight and all morning

and this is the result:

anyone know if this will eventually spring back into shape?
or do I need a new door panel...

Hate that kinda crap. Sorry to hear

Might be able to massage it out with some heat if you're very careful.

You could stop living that peasant life and get your own mounting/balancing machine like literally everyone else.

Alternatively, try not being an ignorant f*ck and transit tires in something other than your Z. It's 35 quid for a U-Haul. Pull yourself together man.

I could literally, get a wagon, and walk my wheels from my storage unit to the mechanic. It's 5 minutes walk. My house is about 2 min walk from the mechanic.
BUT THERE NO ******* REASON, why i would ever do that. Because........the tires fit in the car easily! Unless you're an idiot. My mistake is thinking that people have common sense.

LOL, my wheels or tires would never ever go in my car. Period.

i mean, they are covered in tire covers, and fit perfectly, and the drive is 2 minutes...
not really an out of this world crazy thing to do lol

i guess i could have, dropped the car off, walked to the storage unit, called an uber, loaded up the tires. then repeat the whole thing over again.
But the idea that anyone would be so stupid, to not take the extra 2 seconds to turn the tires so they door closes easily, never crossed my mind.
That's how ludicrous the laziness of it is to me. Again, my fault for expecting common sense I suppose.

Next time i'm just going to ask them to let me put the tires in the car.

Unfortunately, these days if you want something done right you basically have to do it yourself.

** I have my own mounting/balancing machine .... lol.

That would be the dream. I want one one of those Hunter Road Force sets I saw on obsessedgarage youtube.
Not really going to work in a Toronto apartment tho.
I'm just going to buy wheels so I don't have to mount and dismount tires anymore. Can swap them in my parking spot.
