Installed a Helix DSP.2 yesterday, and spent some time today dialing it in.

Solid way, my filter area is a bit cramped with the 2.5” tubes from the fangs. Might still be a way to run the lines from the top if I play with them a bit. Idk. Wish I had a lift so I could stand under the damn thing.

Ahh I hadn't thought about that. Have you considered buying a QuickJack? And no, I'm not talking about Rhonda down the block :rofl2:

Installed the Z1 subframe collars today. These were installed on a 2016 Sport with the following current suspension modifications:

- 2016 Nismo Struts and Springs
- Nismo S-Tune F/R Sway Bars

Install took my father and I about three hours. I was able to complete the install without dropping the mufflers (I run Motordyne), however I did unbolt the rear hangers.

First impression is that the inserts definitely added stiffness to the rear end. On hard shifts, the need to replace my blown diff bushing is more evident than ever, giving off a hearty and well known - CLUNK - This was not happening before the install, so I will use it as a decent barometer on measuring increased stiffness. ;)

I am happy with the results given the cost of the mod. It is also advancing my timeline on moving the Z1 diff bushings from the box to the car!

Eventually, I'll find time to install the ART pipes. More recent research confirms that the used ones I picked up are most likely Version 1s (ceramic coating and no added support for the resonators or the cross support), so I am hoping that they don't produce any rasp. :ugh2:

A what who now?

Zontherocks, no offense, but I thought the Z1 collars are supposed to take maybe an hour if not less?

Haha, not offended. After having done it once now, I can see it taking an hour if I were to do it again. Plenty of time was used to convince myself to not follow the recommendation in the instructions to remove the exhaust, which is different than the single exit in the Z1 installation video (Motordyne’s V-bands can be a pain).

I’m a take my time DIY mechanic, so never any rush when I’m doing the job for the first time.

It's what's holding my car up in this pic. Very sturdy and far safer than putting the Z on jackstands. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8c94f5f8d0.jpg

100%. I've had enough "f*ck me with an unlubed traffic cone" moments that I double the estimated install time.

I regret not buying one when I had the money and opportunity a few years back... With my kid graduating high school, my funds no longer belong to me.

I would insert a comment about making them figure it out themselves, but then I'd just sound salty lol.

That is why I have no children that I acknowledge. :gtfo2: :rofl2:

Hunt around for deals, I got mine delivered from Costco at $950.00.

The absolutely necessary pinch weld blocks https://www.quickjack.com/accessorie...er-blocks.html

There's an entire quickjack thread on this forum, somewhere...
