Nah, Home Depot Motorsports man!

My ace hardware is the go to place when I'm looking for some obscure nut, bolt, clip etc. It's amazing what they stock.

I haven't done crap with the Z in a while. I'm still undecided on the MD Thunder Pipe, but I'm starting to lean towards getting new bumpers and side skirts.

That Thunder pipe is loud AF! Haha!

I was going to change from the stock Box to the resonated version, but I felt that it changed the tone of the exhaust too much from what I love about it. Seems that it added some rasp (in the videos that I’ve seen) to the sound. Though that may have been the straight piped version, I don’t remember.

I’m also interested in the other products that Motordyne has listed on their site. Not that I would change from the ART pipes, but as an enthusiast I would love to see some video reviews of their Zinger test pipes.

Maybe they sounds the same as the others. Maybe not. But damn, I’m always interested in additional Z aftermarket parts!

yeah 90% of the videos I saw made the car sound like crap. Though they're all running LTH or test pipes. Im running high flow catalysts, which I think cleaned up the sound a ton.

What’s fair?

Some of you may know...I had a faulty pressed fuel line in my fuel return system kit by CJ Motorsports. They offered to replace the fitting a week later.. this obviously does not help me at all

It was a very inconvenient mishap to say the least!
I had fuel everywhere in around the engine! I had to take another day the following to get out to a shop to fabricate and press a new fitting. I lost time/ money. Not to mention: what If something caught fire...

Now, Charles at CJM is asking me To come up with a fair compensation for resolve. I thought I would ask the forum what they think would be a fair solution. All thoughts appreciated. Thank you

That stinks! Sounds like Charles has accepted the fault and is looking to make you whole. How many vendors start with that out of the gate?

What was the total time/money lost? Provide a receipt for what it cost to have the shop clean up, hold the car, extra day from work, etc. That at least provides both parties with a verified starting point towards resolution.

Charles is a high-quality individual. Shipped me some connectors for free after I mangled the ones he originally provided for the billet fuel hat.

Legally speaking - altho this is NOT legal advice - you haven't suffered any harm aside from the cost of repairs.

My dos centavos, ask for cost of repairs and a decent-sized store credit ($100 or so) for the hassle of dealing with all this. Then turn around and buy his oil pan. Everyone wins!

For an individual or a company to stand up and accept responsibility is so rare these days. That goes along way in my book. Depending on how much was spent at the shop to fix the problem, I'd ask for a few bucks to help pay for those costs and look for another CJM product you want/need and ask for a discount.

You're relatively new here and I really appreciate your temperance and outlook on this situation. I say that you're relatively new here only to let you know, which you may not, that Charles is a very frequent, very helpful, and very honest contributor to the 370Z community. He has a true and real passion for the things we do; I personally believe that he sleeps in his office, he's responded in a very detailed fashion to member emails sent at 2-3AM within 15 minutes.

Not trying to fanboy him or smacktalk you. Charles has done right by me as a manufacturer and seller. You have a valid complaint. He's gone above and beyond by asking you for what you'd feel is equitable. You've been very agreeable in asking the forum for suggestions. I'd like for both sides to come to an agreeable solution!

You can suck up all you want, he's not going to give you an oil pan. :rofl2:

YAY!! I finally got this in I ordered it 3 weeks ago! I can't wait! Also, I had a nice drive through the canyons on the way to MT Wilson today. The Z does good around turns. I have suspension upgrades on the way too!

I am assuming the steering issue related to the header install has been resolved? Any additional information from the shop?
