2013 they went to the Red Calipers. 2009 to 2012 had gray. This is the way it is on the Nismo's. I am not sure about the sport models.

Cool. Thank you for the clarification.

So I guess my Z really confuses people, 2016 model with pre-2015 Nismo wheels and pre-2013 calipers. LOL :tiphat:

Any particular reason there were two difference colors available for the Z from the factory? Was it just a year/generation thing? Because I have seen them on both Sport and Nismo Z's.

Frankly, I prefer the grey (obviously, since that's what I ordered - LOL). Reasons being is because everywhere you look, everyone these days use red calipers. Secondly, I like all of my mods on this car to be low key, and these grey calipers are just an addition to that theme.

Not to mention the only other colors on this car (other than black/grey) are the amber front turn signals and the red taillights. I certainly didn't want big ugly chunks of red in my wheels.

I believe the reds came with 2013+ Nismos and 40th Anniversary models.
Greys were Sport model.
Hard to remember almost ten years of models. (Hurry up with the new Z already Nissan.)

Don't feel bad. I've got a 2009 Sport with red calipers, 2015 Nismo side, skirts Nismo suspension, Nismo S-Tune wheels, etc.

My '11 Nismo had the grey calipers. Now they are candy cherry red thanks to Mike the powdercoater.

There is a younger kid waiting for the bus each day, he points at my car when I go buy everytime. The least I could do was somewhat send it for him :driving:

There's an elementary school right behind my work, and some of the parents will park in our back packing lot to pick up their kids. The other day, a kid had this huge smile on his face as I was backing out and going to lunch. He gave me a thumbs up and yelled "cool car!".

So naturally, I had to send it for him as well. LOL

When can you get started on my Z? LOL

Also, you're the first one I have seen with the same Z1 M-Tech shift knob. I love mine. You like yours?

Also upgraded from base brakes today! Makes a huuuge difference in how the car looks. Pro-tip: the red Infiniti calipers are $350 cheaper than the Nissan-branded calipers if you don't care about the tiniest of minute details. I don't mind it at all, but I'm going to powdercoat them next season anyways.

Nice wheels & car color/caliper combo. I have a black 370. I am looking at powder coating the wheels glossy black and the stock calipers.
For my calipers I’m not sure if I want red , or black.

I’m not racing anyone or going to the track.

Just taking it e-z.

Installed new Polk component speakers to replace the stock ones.
Installed new illuminated kick plate to replace the old dented one.
Installed touring pedals to replace the stock rubber ones.
Installed Nismo floor mats to replace some cheap rubber ones.
Fixed and/or cleared a bunch of random DTCs.
Cranked the engine and ran it long enough to settle the idle and warm up the oil.

First time the car has run with no codes or issues in over 6 months :driving:
Still have a few things on the list before she's ready to run hard, but I'll take her out for a spin sometime this week
