Default Drifting question

So something weird happened today while drifting. At the start of my day and my cars day I did some drifting and she was sliding around nicely and it was tons of fun. Then after doing that for just a little bit I went and did my daily driving of going to school, then went out and ate, grocery shopped. I did quite a bit of driving today. And to end off the day I wanted to drift a little bit. Well when I was attempting to drift my tires were just gripping to the ground and I wasn't sliding around corners AT ALL. Could it be that my tires were just too warm? I'm not sure what would cause it..

This is on a closed course, right?

How much drift experience do you have? Sounds like its you, not the car. You should not have any problems getting the rear tires (assuming street tires) loose regardless of how warm they are. Sure cold tires make it easier, but you should have no troubles overpowering warm tires.

Maybe they were. But you haven't given any information except that they drifted fine earlier in the day and not later. It seems that it could be a combination of electronic nannies that are still active and grippier (warmer) tires.

You should really put in a switch to turn off YAW control if you're going to be drifting. The ABLS (part of ABS) applies the rear brakes when slip is detected even with VDC OFF

Wait a minute, are you the DK?
You've been drifting for five years and think that if your tires are warm you can't drift anymore? I'm lost by this statement.. you sure you're drifting properly? Are they street tires or race tires, cause either way I've ran the hell out of tires and once they get too hot during a cycle they'll get greasy and slip even more. If it was the end of the day then they would've lost temperature from when you where drifterz and been cooled off again
