After I bought the car I was practicing shifting faster and got it wrong, at the end of 3rd gear shifted to second, lucky, I noticed instantly and disengaged the gear, it would go over 8k. More than 10k miles after what happened without issues.
Down shifts at 7k?! I dont feel so bad now, wow these motors are really almost bullet proof.

What are you concerned about? The redline is set at 7500 rpm. It's perfectly save to rev to the limiter. Nissan wouldn't set the redline that high unless it was safe.
