Anyone bored of their Z?
I've loved it, babied it, and 5 years later I almost traded it in for a 2016 Tacoma.. I was even looking at a Prius! I know, let's not talk about that one. I love my car but I can't deny I've been bored with it lately. It's my DD and it's starting to feel small even though I don't need extra space. Anyone else ever get that bored feeling?

Not one bit. Five years and 85K miles later it still gives me 100 smiles per gallon :driving:
I can understand how the Z could bore some eventually (there are lots of sporty cars out there) ... but you're looking at a Tacoma or Prius?? :icon14: Maybe try not babying it ... you could do an HPDE or something  |

Never. I cant wait to see my NISMO's glory, And get excited once that engine revs. Love this ride. My Second NISMO as well. Total years driving them is 3yrs combined and about
50K miles combined.. All the looks, grins and compliments daily, just cant trade that for the world. lets me know what a great purchase this car was. |

Still Mint as day One When not in motion my 2010 Nismo is always hidden under a car cover  -Clifford :tiphat: |
You may get bored of your Z ,but I can tell you from experiance of being bored of a vehicle.
Just a few years after getting rid of it, you will want it back just like day one. Belive me I have been there, I would love to have back my 03 cobra ( not tired of my 2010 nismo at all) I just think about it all the time :) |
tear it all apart and do it again
|
not yet (over 2 1/2 years) and I don't think I will anytime soon. maybe if I had gotten an automatic or the base model, but I didn't. something better or more practical may come along but I would miss it for sure.
|
Noop, never. If you sell it you will want another.
|
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!!
|
Boost it! Fixed:tup:

I'm only bored when running at higher speeds. On a tighter course, or around town, nope. The power is plenty and feels that way until longer straights, and it's still a blast in corners.
|
I have an 09 Touring that I enjoy most of the time. Then I look at my girlfriend's 2010 sport touring and get upset because I have an open diff and tiny brakes..

WTF, just add another mod or two and snap out of it. I am going on year five with my girl and I can't get enough of her. She looks great and runs even better. Heck I went to my second track day on Saturday and could not run her because I failed the sound test. The limit was 74 decibels and I came in at 75.2 and had to hard park it at the track. I was going to leave but I had so many guys and gals come by to look at and talk about my car I didn't leave till the end of the event. I was so humbled by it at as there were a lot of high end and dedicated track car there to drool over!

The Clifford was a passenger awhile back and let me tell you boy's and girl's it kept me planted in my seat the whole time :driving: Good Times Sir :iagree: -Clifford :tiphat: |
I got bored of my Z. Got new car. Don't miss the Z. (but still enjoy the forums)
|
I never got bored of my Z even after 6+ years of ownership.
Maybe the Z is getting bored of you |

The only thing I'm bored with is the stock clutch pedal and those darn demon bolts. Once I finally get those two taken care of (have had the parts for nearly 2 months now), I'll be super happy.

Get a cheap DD. Great for fun = sucks for daily = compact, noisy, direct and raw.
Even sex can be boring if you let the daily grind get to it. Make a special date. Let her do what she does best. The Z likes it rough, thrown around, on top....not the same 30 sec missionary style that daily commutes represent. The night before the date (weekend morning drive, autox, HPDE):

Lol. Bored and goes on to look at a Pruis. I say troll.
|
Nope.
My DD is faster than the Z in a straight line and handles pretty good, but it doesn't deliver the driving experience my NISMO 370Z does. Buy the Prius, but keep the Z. The Z won't seem so boring after driving a Prius all week. |

I take prius cabs and prius Uber. Same shitty and boring point A to point B experience. We have another jungleZ is my guess.
Also, I've been sidelined due to a foot surgery and just starting her to warm her up in the mornings and listen to her sing and wake up my neighbors is pure heaven. I'm easily entertained I guess. |

I don't get bored in mine at all. My commute is so much fun. I always have a smile on my face and sprint to the car to go to and from work.
My neck hurts like a mother still but I have fun hurting. Driving really pisses the neck off. |
Nope. 7 years, 105,600 miles and still sprouting wood.
|
I have a 2002 GMC quad cab 4x4 diesel that has 210000 miles on it that I bought in 2004 with 60k on it and I love that thing and I drive it more than the Z because it get better fuel economy and keeps me from going to jail...I love boost!

Street driving this thing is fun as hell and moron texas drivers keep me on my toes. The sport brakes are a godsend.
|
NO
|
I am bored with mine sort of...but only because I don't have money to mod it to my liking and I don't get to drive it when I need a car the most (winter).
I'm sure once I win the lotto and spend $10,000 with overnight parts from Japan, I'll probably not be bored with it. |
