This, doing an HPDE event and your and your still bored, check your pulse because you might be dead. Doing 85 in a corner and managing the outward slip is very exciting as you power out of a turn.

:iagree: :driving:

So here I am riding this 135s arse for doing 50 around a small bend in a 60 zone. I make a pass on the bend give a bit of gas and then when the road straightens up he decides to "race" me as I was trying to speed up to overtake. So I just let off and let him go. Anyone can go fast in a straight line. It's the curves that make it fun.

This is literally the case with 90% of drivers now. Too scared to use their torque in the corners and rather feel it on a 1/4 drag style.

For those that are bored with the car, please pm me. I'll send you my address and you can ship the car to me. Please ensure that the title is signed and that there are no liens on the vehicle. Oh and don't forget to send both keys. Thank you.....:stirthepot:

Over all my Z produces a lot of new rattle and sqeeching sounds, bored i am not.....annoyed am i? Yes.

Low....lowend torque and weak synchros in the manual trans are my only major issues with this car, everything else is a positive except for any future CSC failure.

Haha..you know Im just kidding about my comments. I love the Z but I wish it had the torque of the V8. But the Z is such a fun fast car and a looker.

As I always say "life is not lived in a straight line it has lots of twist and sharp difficult turns and it's nice be driving a Z when that time in life comes along" lol

Well you did have like half a million light-years on it. Did you ever get bored?

LOL, I poke back in now and again. Car was never boring, just needs to be driven, not babied.

I have a new project car that has been keeping me busy.

If you pay top dollar I'm sure there will be a line of owners willing to sell and upgrade to something better, more powerful and another toy that fulfill what the Z lacks.

It's human nature to get bored with something especially after owning it for 4-5 years. Look at GTR, Lambo, Porsche owners... they get used to their power and spend a fortune to make it go faster or sell it for something else. To us Z owners with inferior power, that wouldn't make sense at all.

Back in the days I owned a 600cc crotch rocket that did low low 11s stock, after 2 years the power became boring and only put on a few hundred miles the next few years just to keep the battery alive.

After a while you can get tired of anything. But for me, the Z is perfect. Not the fastest, not the slowest, but it is the most unique. I see Camaro's, Stangs, Vettes, BMW, and the whole lot; you seem them frequently. Every street light there's another. But not the Z, I can go quite a while most weeks and not see very many. Always get compliments and thumbs up. But I never get bored with it.

For me the first few years was great! like you said fairly rare, pretty quick and receives compliments often. But after 4.5 years of owning it, I wanted a lot more features my fairly base Z didn't have. Also after 7 years Of debut, the Z is accessible by a lot high schoolers with horrible mods (just like the 350z) and became fairly common on the roads

I've been seeing a few new ones around me very recently. Literally dealer plates and all (save for one with an Amuse kit hnnnng). Can't be mad but I liked being a rare-ish sight for 4-5 months.

I'm enjoying mine right now as a DD, even if SF traffic is stupid as hell. But in some ways I wish I held out a bit longer and took up a Nismo with 0% financing. My wish list is pretty much getting closer to Nismo-spec and it's not really cost effective. I got a lot of car and a deal; literally all the options that could be had with some factory extras on top (thanks to the previous owner, who also seemed to baby the car).

But next time around I don't want to just stop at "killer deal", but rather "I completely got my way". Obviously I won't overpay for a car, but I don't want to be influenced by what's most affordable. Icing and the cherry on top, which is probably how it was when the original owner bought this new and ticked all his add-ons and packages.

...and this is assuming the Earth doesn't explode in a few years or something.

With an 85 mph toll road in town, I might beg to differ on that generalization :tiphat: :driving:

I might be new, 10 months old. But, I love every moment and looking forward to many years to come along...

How do you equate DD with boredom? I've never owned a boring DD. The only boring car I bought and drove (not as a DD) was my wife's 2014 Sentra, and that thing is long gone. My current DD is slow, but far from boring.
