Suggestion if it happens again. Don't shut off the car. Turn off the AC, roll down your windows and crank the heat on high. It will pull the heat out

Turn off the AC, roll down your windows and crank the heat on high. It will pull the heat out of the engine and drop the temperature rapidly. Trust me, it works.
