I knew the difference between those base and sport trims that a sport one is equipped with VLSD which is not included in a base by default.

I just didn't know that turning off the VDC on base trim would be liable to occur that possible danger while making drifts.

"drifting" hence a controlled slide would probably work best when both wheels spin. An "open" diff is basically a "one tire fire". I would assume a drift with one tire spinning a lot faster than the other would be difficult.
