Sirploppy brought up a good point about many people in colder areas wouldn't really have any incentive to buy a RWD sport coupe until it warms up. You also have to figure in people like me, I haven't jumped on one yet because I don't buy cars from the dealer's lot anymore. I'll probably order mine from the factory in a month or so and won't expect it to be built and ready for me until March or April. There is certainly no rush to buy for someone who likes to order from the factory.

I know for me, a lot of the dealers aren't bothering to get a few 370z's unless they absolutely need to.

Kind of hard to sell cars when you don't have at least one car on the lot to test drive.

Check out the abundance of 2008 350's & Nismo's that have gone unsold.

Reminds me of My local dealer. They've had two GTR's in the showroom for over 3 months now. No buyers. I think It might have something to do with the $20,000 "Market adjustment"

Wouldn't a "market adjustment" in this economy be a negative number?

Dad called the dealership and was told there is roughly a 3 month wait with $1k deposit to stand in line. There's no mark up either. Do you guys think I should drop in $1k to stand in line now? I'm going to put my Z33 up for sale sometime this week.

they're all sitting on my local dealerships lots... I'd shop around and find one that suits your fancy instead of dropping a grand on a TBD unit.

From what my dad got from talking to them, 18 have "built to order" with the $1k deposit. The customer gets contacted when the car arrives, and the $1k is lost if the customer backs out on the deal. I'm not in a big rush to get the Z34, so I'll order it once I sell my Z33. There is a couple arriving next week (seen from Inventory Search), and those are for customer pick up.

A bit OT, but isn't the "built for the human race" line from about 10 years ago??

**EDIT** a quick Google search found it was from 1987! LOL

Local Nissan dealer here has one. I showed up in my Z1 shirt with a technician and they didn't let me test drive it. They were also asking 4k over msrp. Told them we were very interested and Nissan let us drive the cars a while back. Sales lady wasn't very on point about the car. We had to tell her about the difference between the 370Z and the 350Z. There was also a guy there that came to the follow the Z tour at Z1. He was offering her $500 below MSRP cash money and she said they had to think about it.

wow for 48k+ it better be a 560z with the nice big V8 from the Titan or RWD GTR drivetrain.
