In NJ you don't need to sign anything to get a ticket. If he took the ticket back he just tore up that ticket and you don't have a ticket.

In NJ you don't need to sign anything to get a ticket. If he took the ticket back he just tore up that ticket and you don't have a ticket. But if you want to double check, treat it as a lost ticket and contact to municipal court where the ticket was issues.
