My experience revolving around shipping a Stillen fascia was this... Don't bother trying.

Find a local buyer or someone willing to drive to get it. For those of you with a Prius DD that were wondering, it will fit in the back of the car for sure.

So yeah... find a local buyer. Takes much longer going that route but you never know when someone will pop up out of nowhere and drive eight hours to snatch it up. Good luck.

FedEx freight would cost equal to or more than the bumper. I've looked into that too. I was quoted $380 to go four states over. Going to Cali? ****. Hell no.

Both bumpers I had shipped to me via Greyhound, broke. I would suggest not using them.

Thats crazy. Is it by weight or total size of the item? I had 4 wheels/tires shipped to me from VA. I think the seller said it was about $100 for UPS ground or something like that. 4 wheels/tires def weigh more than a bumper.

yeah it wasn't weight. the thing was so damn light. it was the shear size of it and it can't be stacked on anything and nothing can be stacked on it. So you are essentially paying for a pallet-sized square from floor to ceiling. That's a lot of loot. And like kenchan said, you gotta pay to play.

yep, it's called chargeable weight. it's going by volume vs actual weight.

Maybe OP can build a crate? Or build a wood frame to fit inside the box? that way it can be stacked and will subsequently cost less to ship?

Once you exceed ~80-100 inches in the longest dimension, price skyrockets regardless of weight. Even if it's boxed and you can stack stuff on it, the price will be expensive.
