Anyone ever ship their car?

Are the enclosed carriers worth the extra $400+ opposed to open carriers? I'm thinking the car wouldn't really be exposed too much to flying debris since it's secured behind a

i shipped my old car from ny to az on an open carrier and had no problems. open or closed you should be fine

A few years ago I shipped my 350Z from WI to CA on an open carrier and had no problems. Try and ask for it as far forward to the cab as possible to avoid road debris.

Most new cars are delivered in open carriers, so you should be fine. Just document the car very well when they pick it up, and inspect carefully when it arrives.
