Sorry to hear about the car accident and I'm glad that everyone walked away okay. Sad to say with pain from a car accident, very little of it starts on the first day unless you are really injured. At that point you go to the ER. My dad is a Chiropractor and one of the things he does do as extra work is Personal Injury Cases for attorney's he networks with etc. (mainly car accidents). 9 times out of 10 you feel some pain/soreness the first day due to adrenaline and shock. Once you sleep off the adrenaline and shock you feel every bit of it. Just make sure to not get discouraged if the pain gets worse before it gets better. Most of the time that is how the treatment process goes.
As for doing things at home to help the soreness, some light stretching of the inflamed area probably would be beneficial. Make sure to not stretch on cold muscles, never works well. I would suggest using a heating pack/pad for about 15 minutes before stretching As for the car, well hope that everything works out well and it either gets repaired or written off as a totaled car. Atleast your lip and B pillars were untouched My $.02 is that if the car is totaled take what you got off the car and put it on a new one haha (hopefully you have some sort of GAP insurance, chances are the Actual Cash Value of the car will not be the entire loan amount left, just depends on how much you have left to pay off)

I do not mean to bum you out, but this is a shot of my 40th after I was hit by a person also "not paying attention".
![]() It was totaled. The original estimate was $29,000.00.

A top-of-the-line shop quoted this. They are guys who do outstanding body work. I do not know what the labor rate was but just the parts list included:
both front airbags Seatbelts Windshield both fenders hood left strut engine wire harness front fascia left headlight subframe

That's crazy! I gave it to a pretty good shop to repair as well. Hoping for a write off, but none of my airbags came out since it was a full side impact. I will find out later this week what the damages are. If they do total it. I plan on taking all my aftermarket parts and putting it on another Z. Hope they give me a good valuation for my car if it is totaled. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

If they wright it off, try to take all the aftermarket pieces of. At least you can sell them or put it on you new car.

I still have always been amazed at the Z's saftey and impact resistance.

True. She was still running after the initial hit, I was able to drive the car into an empty lot and get it out of traffic, with coolant leaking.. Proud of her. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Quick update..
The other party's insurance company has accepted all responsibility for this accident. The shop quoted the repairs at 10.4k (All paid for by the other driver's insurance company) which does not make the car totaled because the car is worth around 24k. The shop assured me that there is no major damages. A lot of the suspension parts were bent because they are made out of aluminum and he assured me that they will ONLY use new parts for the suspension and new parts for other areas of the damages. He also told me not to worry and that he will make sure it'll look like new when he returns the car back to me and to expect nothing less. (good guy) I will also be filing a diminished value claim (with an individual appraiser who handles these types of claims) after the repairs are done, the shop said that I can expect to get back around 2-3.5k for my cars diminished value. At that point I have the decision to either trade in the car and get a new Z or keep the car because I already got the difference in diminished value. What do you guys suggest I do? Thanks for all the help and support. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
