IMHO Most cops will not pull you over for the sole reason of tint. Most of the time that infraction is attached to another higher infraction such as what happened to the OP with no front plate. The reason why the OP got a "fix it" ticket is because the cop did not run a tint meter and knew it could get thrown out in court. Most cops do not even carry one in their cars anyways.

lol... in georgia the georgia state patrol will pull you over for looking weird yet alone tint.

had a friend who drove his car for 10 years, the day he left the dealer lot he went and got tint installed (20% all around) for 10 years he drove and got cited for speeding and what not but never for tint. fast forward to about 2 months ago, coming back from work he got pulled over by the gsp, for illegal tint lol. the gsp officer was in shock no one else pulled him over for tint.

Because from the time at the end of the trimmed video till the time I left, no way could he have slipped in more words with me right? And there's no oo way I would set my dashcam setting to record in 3 min interval am I right?

I don't know what's up your *** bro but I came to get info, not to get lectured on what's right and wrong, sherlock. If I needed parenting on morals, you'd be the last person i'd call.

Honestly I could go on some more but judging from what we have so far of you, it's not worth it.

Really?!? did you have to bring that comment here? That's something I used to see on Facebook, (one of the reasons I rarely use it). You came looking for info, with a whiny attitude, and got called out for it. Grow a pair and accept responsibility for getting caught by the CHP for doing something less than legal. A fix-it ticket for tint is a whole lot less 'hassle' than having your ride impounded because you were a douche to the officer. With that attitude, if I had been running the stop, you would have been asked to exit the car, cuffed and set on the curb, while we waited for a drug K9 to come search the car. :shakes head:

On a positive note: Another IBTL thread, fer sher... :bowrofl:

Front plate BS was for the gay intersection camera scheme. Tint laws are always retarded.

Lex iniusta non est lex.

On the other hand, if you really have no tint, you could just pay the $ to get the fixit signed, isn't it pretty cheap?

I'm planning to do a write in as well. Do you have a guideline for that? I read that you need to:
1. Write a letter with argument - He never saw front window nor tested them.
2. Include the bail out amount (written on ticket).
3. Question: Do they have to inspect the vehicle for the write in? If so, will they come to your house? Or should you go to them?

Problem is, ticket has no amount written on it. He pulled me over with no reasonable suspicion as my front windows were rolled down long before i even pulled over and when I was, it was never pulled back up and he never measured the tints nor even get to see it face to face. The sun was barely visible at the time. Heres the picture of ticket: Imgur

He pulled you over for the lack of front plate, right? That's cause enough.
