Nissan needs to do something

They need to address the csc issue that keeps popping up week after week, maybe then I'll consider buying another Nissan. Maybe.

Here is the MSRP on a few cars.

3.7L Nismo - 350HP - $41,990
5.7L Charger R/T -370HP - $32,995
6.4L Charger R/T Scat - 485HP $39,995
5.7L Challenger R/T - 375HP - $31,495
6.4L Challenger R/T Scat - 485HP $38,495
5.0L Mustang GT - 435HP - $32,300
2.3L Ecoboost Mustang - 310HP - $29,300

charger, challenger and mustang is muscle car and to me it is not on the class like cayman or Z. i do believe our Z is the best compared to mazda, honda and toy, that may be the reason why they dont mind putting larger engine onto the Z or GT-R

i hope someday Nissan will put their 5.6L V8 engine QX80 in the Z or GT-R but *** you see, the GT-R is even only 3.8

All styling and general preference opinions aside...
The Camaro SS1LE serves Auto-Penis to the Mustang Gt's anus on Track and the intercourse is NO GEL status. Thats the Camaro vs the brand new stang. They only compare in str8 line performance... The Camaro is cheaper and hands down has REAL track worthiness.

So the mustang, while beautiful to look at and a great road car. Is not quite the "PERFORMANCE" bargain in the muscle car arena, if we talkin' purely getting bang for buck.

If only GM offered an option to remove the nauseating retro-styling from the interior and exterior.

They already cancelled the idx, people want a smaller turbo car also they're being left in the dust. I guess they are satisfied with making little cars for India and China. The Mercedes partnership is weak when they announced it in 2012...
Buy the new Q60 coupe when it comes or wait till 2019(probably 2018 which is when the new GTR comes out). There is no rush if your finances are straight and you are already in a Z now unless something catastrophic happens you can get in one later. You could always buy one of those other cars you covet that will probably be less and trade it in later if you want the Z that bad or just stay in your current Z see what they come out with.

op is comparing apples to oranges here... hp isn't the only reason people choose cars... for me, it came down to two things... the unique looks of the z and a 2-seater was a must... i love the looks of the new mustang but would never buy one because it has a useless back seat... no normal person can sit back there comfortably and it just adds senseless weight to the car... as with everything else in life, to each their own

rear seats in a coupe is a pita to get in/out anyway. just get a sedan or a 5door hatch if you want rear seats.

Can you link me to the 1LE? I haven't been keeping up lately... the only Camaro I drove was a regular old '11 SS and it was a turd compared to the '11 'Stang.

Ya know...

Last road course i uh "visited" had a Mustang which i let go in front of me when lining up.

It was a...
Mustang = More HP
Boss 302 = More more HP
Laguna Seca = More handling
on slicks = faster than me

They certainly can be fast, with the right setup and enough $$.

Do not know if this is a concretion, but beside the 4 cylinder mustang the fuel economy is much better.

At 500whp I'm getting 28mhp on the high way.

I didn't buy mine to race it. I bought it to have fun. And it's fun! I don't care if someone else is faster, there's always someone faster. As far as I'm concerned, Nissan doesn't need to do anything.

nissan can give us a better csc next time and a better feeling clutch + less latent throttle response. my 11yr old G feels so much better than my Z in that perspective.

Yea I learned that when I had a 2+2 before and I'm 6'1. I absolutely hated people sitting behind me unless they were little kids. It's good for groceries though
