The Porsche Cayman has upped the anti in hp over the last several years. The new Cayman GT4 will be pushing 380 hp. All that said, I don't care. I love the Z experience, I love the total cost of ownership, and I love the fact that I can easily do work on it.

The Z when in it's design phase... Nissan uses a PORSCHE CAYMAN to use as a benchmark for it's on paper stats. And it tries as hard as possible to give a similar level of performance. Of course the last and current iteration is course and unrefined, compared to a Porsche... Nissan is a FR platform while the Caymn is MR, but year one both cars got around the track in about the same time. The Z offering a visceral pro-driver experience while, the cayman glided through the track with ease... The Z is designed to give you the on paper PORSCHE performance in a package thats similar in layout, function and form. Still each car gives a unique driving experience... There's no way for me to say Anyything like this about a "Camastanger" when compared to a Z. Hence the Z being somewhat of a Porsche competitor.
